There were 4 armed Vaadwaur guards here, with-- Krenim disruptors. These weapons did not kill nor stun you -- no, they literally wiped your ass from existence. Scary!

Each guard required 3 hits, meaning a person would need to role 1 d10 🎲7 with a value of 6 or higher to hit them... On the scans, faint Klingon lifesigns could also be detected somewhere in the room.

Essen fired a shot right after Kya, aiming before immediately taking cover behind the edge of the tube. 🎲8

All four guards perked up when they saw the intruders. Guard 1 was shot in the shoulder by Essen's shot and scrambled to try and orient himself!

Essen hopped out of the tubes and, while in the air, attempted another shot at one of the guards as she landed on the ground. 🎲2

Gaurd 2 laughed at Essen's attempt and threw a chair in her direction to try and throw her off.

Essen managed a frontflip over the chair to dodge it before she landed. "You're messing with Starfleet, bubs. Don't get too cocky," she said as she fired again! 🎲6

Saith wormed his way out of the tubes, ducking for cover behind one of the tables. "Starfleet, drop your weapons!" he called out behind him, just in case... that would work?

"NO!" Guard four yelled as he shot at the humidifying unit right above Saith's head to try and moisten him up 🎲8.

This time the chair hit Essen. "OOOMPH--!" And she toppled over to the ground, before she did her best to kip up and recover. "So uncivilized," Essen said, before she fired again. 🎲10

T'She also made their way out of the tubes, wanting to help somehow, or at the very least try and gather any potential hostages to some sort of safety.

Oh well. They asked for it. A now soaked-to-the-bone Saith poked his head out enough to fire off at one of the guards that were still unharmed. 🎲8 "Sir, respectfully, I don't think we should call people uncivilized —"

"It's not too late to surrender," Essen said, keeping an agile pace as she ran across the room to (try) and evade any fire, as she then used the wall to backflip and fire at one of the guards mid-air! 🎲4

Guard 2 was hit and dropped his weapon! Now was charging fists blazing towards Saith 🎲8.

Well, things had escalated. Ato saw and heard phaser fire, and then, was that a chair flying through the air? And… was that the young Vulcan girl getting hit? Was it medic time?! Ato quickly leapt out of the tubes, landing behind cover and looking around to get his bearings. He noted where everyone was and tried to get a visual on Essen to see if she was ok.

"Get the players out," Guard three said as he pressed a button on his jacket and two doors opened to reveal 2 Klingons. Guard 4 grabbed them both and attemped to make his way out of the room.

Upon landing, Essen aimed at one of the guards grabbing the players. "Oh no you don't," Essen said, and fired at the guard, careful not to aim for the players. 🎲2

"STARFLEET!!! FOCUS!" Suss shouted at Essen.

Saith took the wrong time to pop up out of cover, taking a fist to the face. He staggered, expression twitching near imperceptibly before he fired off at the person who swung at him. 🎲10

Guard 2 was down! Two more -- well guard 4 was almost out the door, leaving guard 3 to fight the team.

"I didn't mean to!" Essen wailed. "I'm so sorry!!!" She had to do it one last time, and if the phaser didn't work, Essen would need to ditch the phaser. Come on, COME ON! 🎲8

Saith ducked down under the table, grabbing and dragging a chair with him at an attempt for cover as he went for the guard removing the Klingons as well. 🎲8

"FINALLY!" Essen remarked. Guard three wasn't as much of an issue as four. They had the players. Essen had to keep going. While Saith went for Guard four, Essen fired again at three. 🎲10

T'She went for guard 4 again, planning on following the guard out if need be. The Klingons needed saving, and they might be the one to do it. And so... another kick! 🎲7

"Don't let that one get away!" Essen said, referring to Guard four. She holstered her phaser, and decided to go hand to hand for this one. 🎲3

The Klingon hostages were frozen in place, terrified of doing anything out of line. Guard 4 easily wrestled Essen away and went to punch her straight in the face 🎲2.

Saith immediately moved for the hostages, aiming his phaser at any guard who came near them. "Hey, do you—" breathless, bloody, the Cadet turned his attention to T'she— "Need anything, or—?"

all the guards were K.O! The two Klingons smiled.

With that, Essen looked to the two Klingons who she inadvertently hit with her phaser. "I'm... I'm so sorry... are you two alright...?" She said, her voice noticeably knocked up from the fight, before she collapsed onto her back, the clock to her head making her dizzy.

"I am fine, you, however, do not look fine. I am a nurse, would you like some treatment?" They asked Saith before they turned to Essen, "And you, can you stand? Or do you think you are concussed?"

"It's just a nosebleed cause I got punched in the face. Prioritize people with more pressing injuries," Saith grinned at T'she. "Are you guys okay?" he asked the hostages, then the rest of the away team.

"Y-Yea.. We're fine," The two players were dressed in grey hoodies and jeans, they looked like they hadn't bathed in weeks. "You.... you're here to save us?" One of them asked, looking very nervous and scared. "We... just got here, there are others that have been here longer, you should help them..."

While still conscious, Essen didn't give an answer, but instead tried to sit back up. She promptly fell back onto her back once more, and her vision blurred and went double briefly once more. Tears filled her open eyes as she looked over at the hostages she harmed. Clearly the physical pain of this rescue mission wasn't the most harmful bit for Essen.

"We're going to help everyone, okay?" Saith smiled reassuringly. "No matter how long you've been here, we're gonna make sure everyone gets out safe and sound."

T'She nodded before they passed Saith some gauze from their bag, "This should help with that, tell me if things get worse though." Afterwards they turned to Essen, hoping to aid in some way, first by checking for a concussion.

They hadn't bathed... Oh. So that was the smell. Well, can't fault them for that. "We can help the others if you tell us how to get to them."

"Thank you, sir!" Sai plugged up his nose. It wouldn't last long, probably. He didn't get hit That hard, and would definitely be fine. Awesome story to tell Neya later, if nothing else. He kept quiet so the diplomat could talk to the hostages. So cool... (edited)

Essen looked up at T'She, remaining still as her gaze remained cloudy at best, and she tried to regain some semblance of spatial awareness and mobility. Her right hand reached for her phaser and she pulled it out, sliding it across the floor to T'She. As her vision went blurry again, Essen's eyes shut and she went unconscious. Still breathing, thankfully. But that punch was a hard hitter.

"I suppose this is the time to ask our doctor in house for help," Suss said, looking towards T'She.

Now T'She was worried, very worried, if someone went unconscious after a hit to the head that was a sure sign of concussion. "I will do my best, my current diagnosis is severe concussion, I will scan to make sure." They said as they reached for a scanner in order to scan, not commenting on the fact that they were a nurse and not a doctor. It wasn't the time.

On the other hand, Mira, who was just getting out of the tube now, hopped out and stood up straight. She examined the scene, noting all of the carnage that had just ensued -- with, thankfully, two players who were still alive. "We're going to help you both through this," Mira said softly, echoing Saith. "As the cadet said, we'll make sure everyone is out safely."

Ato nodded to T'She who seemed to have things under control with the Starfleet and ally crew. He quickly went over to the hostages and introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Ato. I'm a doctor of Emergency Medicine with Starfleet. What are your names? And do you mind if I do a quick check over you both with my medical tricorder to see how you're doing?" He held up his tri-corder so they could see it was just a medical scanner.

Mira watched as T'She and Ato sprung into action with their respective patients. An impressed smile appeared on her face, before she turned to the other crew. "Friends, is everyone else here alright?"

Saith flashed a big thumbs up. "The adrenaline is wearing off, I think.."

One of the hostages spoke up as they were being treated. "T-Thank you Ato... That is very kind of you... My name is Hai'nan and that's B'kkwa," The Klingon introduced himself and pointed to his teammate. "Like the terran chicken dish, my parents loved Hai Nan chicken," Coincidentally his teammate was also named after a food, a type of Chinese jerky, Bakkwa. "You guys are fierce warriors, thank you. I am no warrior.. well, not with my fists. I am a keyboard warrior. I was kidnapped when I got into an online internet debate on SPReddit about League... That's the last time I ask someone to turn on location to fight them," Hai'nan hung his head and sighed. "I've been drinking nothing but D'Deridex energy, can we go to the washroom?" conveniently there were doors to the washrooms right outside the interrogation chamber.

“Of course. I saw washrooms right outside this chamber, I’ll come with and stand outside in case more guards come. Being surprised in the washroom is never fun, I’ve been there.” Back on the Perseverance, she had been overrun by giant alien spiders while she was brushing her teeth in the washroom. She had of course thrown that toothbrush, toothpaste, and everything else in her little bag of toiletries directly into the trash. She was (and still is to this day) very arachnophobic.

"I can go with you." Saith popped up, already ready to go. "Buddy system, and all that." He grinned up at Seiyya.

"Thanks, I would really like some company. Like... standing outside the stall, I don't need you next to me in the toilet," Hai'nan said with a nervous laugh.

She nodded. “Good idea, Cadet… ah, I’m sorry, I don’t think I’ve met you before.” She laughed at Hai’nan’s statement. “Definitely outside the stall, I need to wash this tube dirt off of my hands.” She held up her hands, which were in fact dirty from crawling in the tubes.

"Please, use the washroom and then I can check you out with my tricorder." Ato said, nodding. "Just make sure to let me know if you feel light headed or anything like that? I'll stay with the Cadet outside just in case." And he followed them all to the washroom door and stood patiently while they did their business, listening quietly as the Lieutenant and the Cadet chatted.

“She looked over the group.* “Everyone else, please keep your eyes and ears open until we’re ready to move.”

"Aye aye! Oh- Saith, sir. Saith tr'Dharvanek." To the washrooooms.

"O-Oh-kay, let's go, Mr. Saith" Hai'nan looked at Saith and then Seiyya who had so nicely agreed to accompany them.

"Anyone else need to go? Now is the time," Rai asked, thinking maybe he'd go, the smoothie was hitting him now.

Mira nodded at Kya. "I concur," she remarked. "Patch yourselves up now as much as you can if possible, we may not have another opportunity."

"If anyone else needs medical attention, please do not hesitate to say something, in a situation as dangerous as this, it is better to be safe than sorry," They spoke evenly as they looked around at the rest of the group, wanting to make sure people were well.

"I am unharmed," Rai said , looking at his arms and touching his legs just to ensure there were no random injuries he was unaware of. Aside from some dirt and minor bruising on his hands, there were no other injuries. Physical injuries. He still felt the destruction of Eventide in his heart.

Mira shuffled to T'She and the unconscious Essen. "Would you like me to help her up when she wakes?" Mira said. "So you are able to treat others. I can monitor her in the meantime." (edited)

"That would be preferable, we need to keep her out of the line of combat fot the forseeable future. Concussions are not to be trifled with," They spoke with a nod.

"Understood. I'll keep watch over her," Mira said. "I'll make sure she doesn't do so much as flick her finger towards a hostile." As she grasped Essen's phaser and put it into Essen's holster. "And she certainly won't be using a phaser again until she's been properly treated."

Speak of the devil and she may awaken. From out of consciousness the Vulcan girl's eyes flickered open. Stirs in her body until she managed to open her eyes further. "...did I respawn?" Essen's voice came out half-whispered toward Mira and T'She.

"The moment we are back on the Starbase, or somewhere with a functioning medical bay, she needs to admit herself for scans, losing consciousness after a hit to a head is not a sign of health." T'She finished with a stern glance at the newly reawakened Essen.

With Mira's help, Essen slowly and carefully sat up, and as soon as she did, the dizziness began to settle in once more, although only briefly. Her left hand went up to the side of her face, feeling her jaw, her forehead, the back of her head. "Aye," Essen replied to T'She. "You don't have to order that twice, sir. I'm definitely admitting myself for scans when we get back."

Mira gently guided Essen up to a sitting position, where she used her hand to keep Essen upright as she sat upwards. "Easy. Easy," Mira said to Essen. "You're not going to be doing any more combat today. For your own safety... and the safety of others. You're limited to helping with strategizing and planning only. That's an order. Am I clear?"

"Aye, sir, clear," Essen replied. "I'll do what I can to plan and strategize when needed."

"I think we should try not firing on guards who are near hostages, just... As a general rule," Suss said, unsurprised that Starfleet officers were not sharpshooters, but then again, nor was he.

Vara'l, who happened to still be around, moved closer to Essen and proceeded to say. "As the Lieutenant Commander has said, stay safe Lieutenant." He then turned and looked about the place, one hand on his phaser as he elected to keep an eye out. One hand on the phaser the other hand used as he palmed his tricorder again and proceeded to scan their surroundings. Elected to keep watch as Essen was seen to. "Is Essen okay to stand up with assistance, should we need to move them or would that be unwise?" He then inquired of the medical Lieutenant.

M'jar was right. Essen needed to be more careful. "Aye, sir, I'm sorry, sir. I will be more careful, sir," Essen replied in guilt. She figured Vara'l was definitely not happy with her, or at least that's what she was worried of. "I didn't mean to. I'm sorry," Essen said to Vara'l. (edited)

"She should be heavily monitered at the very least, I would not feel comfortable letting her walk around without assistance," This was, of course, not a good situation to have a concussion in, but they all needed to adapt.

"Take turns watching her?" Mira proposed to Vara'l.

"Heeey, look who I found in the bathroom!" Saith poked his head in, welcoming Investigator D'ez with jazz hands. "Tadaaa!" (edited)

"Jolan tru, hello, Xin Chao, Knee How, Comme de garcons," D'ez greeted the party with a little wave.

Seiyya made her way back to the group, Hai’nan behind her. “We have returned.”

"So as I was telling Mr.... Mr. Wet," They had forgotten Saith's name, clearly. But he was wet. "I know of a pool area that is worth investigating. It's a large area and it's not a place that one can see on scans."

"Lieutenant, I know you didn't mean to, we were in the middle of a firefight." The Romulan responded as he glanced to Essen briefly. "We can discuss the occurance further when we're out of here and you're safe and recovered from the concussion." He added then as he affected a slight and what he hoped was a reassuring smile before he glanced to Lieutenant Commander Chalet and nodded once. "Agreed." He agreed before he looked to the Lieutenant. "Then I'll support her, should we need to move her." He checked his tricorder then and frowned thoughtfully and considered their options. "If its not scan visible it is at least worth a look" He mused before he then looked over to the investigator briefly then back to Essen, Mira and T'She. (edited)

"Mr. Wet," Saith affirmed. That should not have been affirming, but he'd roll with it. However. The longer he stayed in this cold, wet uniform, the more he didn't like it. Ew. "Where we lookin'?"

Mira nodded to Vara'l. "Let's get her up then." As she turned to Essen and knelt as she reached a hand out for Essen to take. "Essen." And pulled her up to a standing position, where she then snaked her arm behind Essen's back and under her other arm to keep her upright..

Essen took hold of Mira's hand and got up, being careful to do so slowly, and looked around. "Well. That was something," Essen remarked quietly, mostly to herself. "Yeah, what's our next objective?" Essen echoed Saith, not having heard a bunch of the conversation.

"The pool area. I can escort you so there will be no danger. I... see you guys got into some fights," D'ez frowned, seeing there were clearly injured people. The other Klingon hostage who had stayed back said nothing about D'ez, nor did Hai'nan when he and Seiyya returned. "Come this way, I will show you the #secret-pool ."

Mira nodded to D'ez. "We got into some fights alright, but the fights weren't enough to stop us," Mira assured D'ez. "We will follow you."

T'She was wary about following D'ez somewhere -- especially somewhere that was not on any scans, but in the name of investigation, they would do it. And so, they went to #secret-pool .

"Off to see the pool, then," Essen said. "I could use a jacuzzi right about now. Kidding of course." As she hobbled with Mira to #secret-pool.

Vara'l moved closer to Mira and Essen as Essen was helped up, the tricorder he had slipped back into its holster as he offered her his hand also as Essen managed to get up onto their feet. The Romulan remained close as Essen and the others started off toward the Secret pool. "Lieutenant, I think the Lieutenant Commander would agree with me, we'll be taking this walk at your pace." He commented then as they continued forward, his phaser raised as he scanned their surroundings visually. "Do not feel like you have to walk any faster than you feel safely able to." He added as he walked with them to. #secret-pool
